1396 Bengali year (14th April 1990), Mongol Shobha Jatra from the Institute of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka to celebrate the holy Baishakh. Initially, the rally was called Ananda Shobha Jatra.

These bamboo and paper sculptures are one of the aspects of the procession every year. Which is based on a theme, the service was elephants, masks and other motifs.

These concoctions or concepts of the Mongol Shobha Jatra were taken from the folk toy dolls of the ancient city of Sonargaon, the tapa dolls of Mymensingh, the nakshi fan, the traveling horse etc.

In 1975, an organization called Charupith organized a procession in Jessore. The organizers of which played a role in organizing the Mongol Shobha Jatra in Dhaka and from there the Mongol Shobha Jatra also started in fine arts.
