Music, the five lettered word brings upon different meanings to different people. Even while pronouncing the word “music”, a specific tune or a specific song comes to ones’ head. The perception of music is also an abstract matter since to every individual, music is perceived differently. Some listen to music just to pass their time through the humdrums of life, some listen to music to metaphorically go back in time to a period they miss which is a very intriguing fact regarding music as it sometimes works as a time travelling machine, some listen to music to reminisce a loved one they lost while some listen to music as a form of meditation. Regardless of the perceptions of music, it has been a trivial matter to peoples lives in the way they form their lifestyles, the way they emotionally connect with one another and also in a way they choose their career. For example one can stereotype a person on being neat and tidy if they are into classical or traditional music. While one can stereotype a person on being anti establishment and rebellious, if they are into alternative rock and roll. So it would be fairly honest to proclaim that music does form how a person is and how they chooses to be. So even if we slightly drift away from the various forms of arts due to the world getting more and more capitalistic day by day, Music ultimately brings us back to the understanding that we are mere humans and our emotions are what makes us whole.
